[Ixxis Ex]

Standing at around eight feet tall, Ixxis is an odd blend of raven and Egyptian-style jackal god. Lean and lanky, he is covered by glossy blue-black feathers and fur from head to toe. This black is only cut by several alarming circular markings that actually glow with a bright yellow luminesence. Large glossy black wings tipped with yellow bands hang heavily from his back, and his overall impression is something like a giant warning sign. Ixxis wears an odd assortment of leather and heavy-denim clothing, also in shades of black and bright yellow. His usual outfit is a kind of waist cincher, zipped-off cargo shorts and a strange semi-skirt type garment. His legs are digigrde, and he wears the same kind of half-length 'gloves' on his hind and foreclaws. His tail is long and thick, it's lower half fringed with more bright yellow fur. He sports a large number of piercings in his ears, face and beak, and wears a pair of green-lensed goggles pushed up against the hairline of his explosion of semi-dreadlocked mane.

Ixxis' manner is almost always a placid and calm one, except for his red crow eyes that dart constantly around. It's no poetic exaggeration to say that he is constantly looking for someone; though he doesn't know what. He is almost never seen without an odd, cylindrical object about a foot long and an inch and a half in diameter, made of glass, capped by titanium and filled with a strange, glowing yellow liquid. It looks, for all intents and purposes, like an extremely overblown glowstick.

In fact, it is Ixxis' Message. He has been sent from the distant heavenly plane of Tifereth to deliver it to an unknown recipient. Ixxis is, in effect, a postman, though he prefers he proper title in the Heavenly Hosts; Malakim. The Malakim are a group of genetically engineered and cybernetically enhanced chimera. Ixxis' biological base was 'grown' in a laboratory within his home plane and enhanced by technomantic implants (commonly known as 'mek') by the magii of neighbouring realm, Hodr. Ixxis is extremely good at what he does (delivering messages), primarily because that was what he was created to do, and he knows no other goal in life.

Ixxis has a number of mek implants, of varying usefulness. His biggest are his feathers and fur, all of which have been engineered to be bioluminescent. Technically, he can change all his fur colouring and markings at will, though he keeps to his current colour scheme partly because he likes it and partly because it's a uniform of sorts to go with his job. It takes a lot of electricity to power all that fur, so just underneath Ixxis' skin he has a fine layer of wiring. The primary function of this wiring is to power his markings, though he can also 'overload' it to deliver a small electircal shock to anything he's touching. This is generally used (especially in Furrabia) to dissuade unwanted physical contact from other furres, though can occasionally have other uses like destroying small electrical equiptment. The shock is not enough to cause any actual longterm physical harm, but is generally enough to let most furres know their attentions are unwanted. The third and final use of this subdermal wiring is that it serves to toughen Ixxis' skin ever so slightly against damage.

Much less obvious but arguably more important are Ixxis' internal speed implants. They allow him to move with unnatural speed and agility, useful for both fast deliveries and faster getaways. Finally, Ixxis has a number of neural implants, the most obvious being his translator. The translator is hooked into the aural and vocal parts of his brain, and -- with sufficient preliminary exposure -- will allow him to speak and understand almost any language. They also make him fairly adept at mimicing any sound or snippet of text he has previously heard.

In addition to his mek, Ixxis has the ability to shift into a large, black and yellow raven-like bird. He primarily uses this form for airborne travel as it is capable of flight. While Ixxis has wings in his 'normal' form, his large size makes dextrous flight impossible, though he is capable of short, awkward bursts.

Because of his heritage, Ixxis has an unfortunate fascination with carrion, shiny objects and eyeballs. Other than this, he is something of a puritan; he greatly dislikes Furrabia and thinks it is full of 'barbarian savages' who practice such 'heathenistic' things as slavery. He very much thinks of himself as an educated modern bureaucrat slumming it with the primitive natives.

Currently, Ixxis is resigned to the fact that -- for the time being at least -- he is stuck in Furrabia until his contact shows up and collects the Message. The longer this usually simple task takes, however, the more and more nervous he grows and, for once, the beginnings of doubt are starting to creep into his mind; what is the Message? Who sent it, and to whom? And, most importantly, where the hell is it's recipient?
